Dear Premier and Minister Stokes,
Opposing the Morrison Government's special deal for private schools is the right call.
Delivering $4.6 billion extra to private schools and nothing to public schools is completely unacceptable.
Especially when it comes after the state’s Gonski agreement was torn up by the Federal Government and NSW public schools were denied over $800 million in urgently-needed funding in 2018 and 2019.
As you have said, federal funding must be needs-based.
We urge you to continue to fight for fairness and for the children in our public schools.
Please do not sign an agreement that leaves public schools under-resourced and below the Schooling Resource Standard.
